Shiro, un architecte, retourne dans sa ville natale afin de construire des appartements à la place des bains publics que dirigeaient son père décédé. Architect Shiro Miura returns to his hometown and the family business he left behind, a public bathhouse called “Marukin Hot Springs.” After his father’s death, he plans to close the old bathhouse and build condominiums, but his brother Goro opposes him. When Goro is hospitalized after a boiler room fire, Shiro takes over as manager and discovers the happiness the bathhouse brings through encounters with its customers.
